EARLY
PARTNERSHIPs

Estaremos contigo todo el camino.
This comprehensive three-year early intervention initiative will create more inclusive childcare environments by embedding therapists directly in childcare settings to deliver integrated services including teacher training, consultation, classroom support, on-site developmental screenings, individualized therapeutic services (for both First Steps-eligible children and those who do not qualify), family mental health support, and specialized behavioral interventions.
In November 2025, a comprehensive needs assessment began with identified partners. Hiring (see below for open positions) and onboarding of the therapeutic team will begin in early 2026.
The initiative will be implemented across 11 childcare programs throughout St. Joseph County, with therapists embedded directly in these childcare environments to provide on-site services and support. To ensure accessibility for all families, LOGAN will offer complimentary child and caregiver classes, Milestone Moments sessions, and developmental screenings at no cost to participants. To learn more, see below.

Free Caregiver - Child Classes
These 6-week classes are designed to help your child accomplish gross motor milestones. These 45-minute weekly classes will teach parents/guardians new and fun ways to encourage their child to achieve milestones - such as rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking. Classes are created and led by licensed therapists and early childhood experts.
