This ABA clinic setting houses 3 BCBAs, each with their own caseload. The typical age range is ~8-22 but we are continually working to increase the adult age range for more access to services. Medicaid challenges have increased the difficulty to serve older adolescents and adults but we continue our efforts of advocacy for this medically necessary service at all ages. This building individualizes all treatment to each client but has a large overall focus on daily living, job skills, prerequisites for group living and other adult programming, as well as more traditional functional communication programming. There are a variety of high rates of different problem behavior in this building, as most of these clients have been impacted enough that they are not in traditional school or community settings. Reducing these behaviors is key in order to continue to strive for the least restrictive environment and heavily focus on inclusion and access to the community. This focus is the underlying mission that this building guides programming by.
