Autism providers and the families we serve have faced unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, we have been using every opportunity we find to advocate for support for our loved ones at both federal and state (Indiana and Michigan) levels. Every once in a while, we will ask you for your support in this process.
Michigan families – we need your help at this time.
As you are likely aware, the intensive and largely face-to-face nature of ABA has limited our ability to serve clients, despite Michigan’s designation of ABA as an “essential service.” On top of this, we expect that the economic downturn and reduction in Michigan state tax dollars will force the legislature to cut its budget, both in 2020 and beyond. Therefore, it’s more important than ever that they hear from you about the importance of what we do, and its impact on the families we serve. Cuts to funding or reimbursement rates for the autism program would have a dramatic impact on the provider network in Michigan, even after COVID-19 has passed.
Please take a moment to email both of your legislators (House and Senate) to ask them to support continued funding for the Michigan Autism Program.

I hope you and your loved ones are safe, healthy, and well. Please know that we continue to work relentlessly to advocate for your loved ones.
