Nothing says winter quite like a snowman with a carrot nose. Add a red heart, a dusting of snowfall, and a few evergreen trees, and the scene becomes a holiday landscape. Thomas Hullihan brought this snowman to life in The Studios at LOGAN. His design was chosen for the cover of the 2018 LOGAN holiday card. Congratulations, Thomas, for making us all smile, and for spreading the joy of the season!
Thomas’ favorite subjects to paint are landscapes and seascapes. His mixed-media canvases depict travel and the journey of life, two subjects he knows a lot about. Here are a few of our favorites from his collection.

Meet the Artist – Thomas Hullihan
Thomas discovered a love of painting at a very early age, but then life got in the way – as it often does – and he set it aside. Today, at age 62, Thomas is rediscovering himself and his love of art in The Studios at LOGAN.
When he was a child, Thomas traveled extensively with his parents. He visited Niagara Falls and parts of New Mexico and Alaska. He ventured south of the border to Cozumel, Mexico, and Panama. He even toured the island countries of Haiti and the Caribbean. Thomas went on several cruises and camping trips with his family. He developed a love for nature when he was young, and those early influences are visible in the artwork he creates.
Thomas joined the LOGAN family in 2011 when he moved into a LOGAN group home. Soon after, he began working at LOGAN Industries. He continues to work at LOGAN Industries, but sets one day aside for artwork in The Studios. He also volunteers with Meals on Wheels, delivering lunch to the homebound.
