Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for an elegant evening of dinner and dancing. The 15th Annual Starlite Ball on May 5 at The Century Center will be an event unlike any other. Again this year, proceeds from the ball will generously benefit The Sonya Ansari Center for Autism at LOGAN Center and Global Art Vision.
“We are honored to be chosen as one of the two beneficiaries of this outstanding event,” said Jill Langford, Chief Development Officer for LOGAN. “We are especially appreciative of the Ansari Charitable Foundation Inc., the presenting sponsor for the Starlite Ball, and the hosts, Dancesport Academy of Granger. This event brings a high level of glamour and sophistication to a Saturday night.”
The Starlite Ball begins with a showcase and dance competition from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Then at 6 p.m., the doors open for the featured event, a dinner dance. A highlight of the evening will be a professional variety show with renowned dancers Maxim Kozhevnikov & Oksana Nikiforova.
Besides being a five times World and nine times U.S. professional dance champion, Kozhevnikov is founder and CEO of Global Art Vision, Inc., a not-for profit organization whose mission is to provide equal dance opportunities for people with disabilities.
“Dinner, dancing and a great cause,” said Langford. “I can’t think of a better evening!”
