Activities Night @ LOGAN Center

Mondays – July 10, 17, 24, 31August 7, 14, 21, 28September 11, 18, 25.
Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
Cost: $8/ per session

Meet at LOGAN Center at 6 p.m. Activities will include watching a movie, creating holiday crafts, coloring, and playing games or working on puzzle books.  A beverage and snack will be provided at 7 p.m. Cost will include snack, beverage, and supervision. Please eat dinner before coming, and arrange to be picked up at LOGAN Center at 8 p.m.

LOGAN Art Classes (Registration Required)

Thursdays –  August 24, 31September 7, 14, 21, 28.
Time: 4:30 – 6 p.m.
Cost: $45

We will meet at LOGAN Center at 4:30 p.m. Classes will begin at 4:45 p.m. during art classes, we will create a variety of art and craft projects centered around the holidays. Classes will be held in the Fine Arts Room at LOGAN Center. A pizza party will be held on the last day of class. For those of you at LOGAN Industries, a ride will be provided from LI to LOGAN Center at 4 p.m. each Thursday. Arrange to be picked up at LOGAN Center at 6 p.m. Rides from LOGAN Industries limited to eight persons.

Registration required; limited to 16 persons

Friday Bowling at Chippewa Lanes
(No summer bowling; schedule resumes in September)

Fridays – September 8, 15, 22, 29
Time: 4:30-6 p.m.
Cost: $3 per week

Meet at Chippewa Lanes in South Bend at 4:30 p.m. No one will be added to a lane after 5 p.m. Cost covers shoe rental and unlimited bowling. This is a loosely supervised event, so caregivers and/or staff need to stay with participants during the games.

Limited to 60 bowlers in 15  open lanes— 4 per lane
Release forms required for all bowlers

Dinner and Movie

Sundays –  July 2 or July 9August 13 or August 27September 10 or September 24
Time: 3 – 7:30 p.m.
Cost: $22/per date

Meet at LOGAN Center at 3 p.m. We will view a matinee show at a local cinema, and go for dinner at an area restaurant. The time of our movie will determine if we eat before or after the movie. Cost will include: your movie ticket, dinner, and transportation. Please bring extra money if you wish to have snacks at the movies. A beverage at the movies will cost $4 – $6, candy is $3 – $4, and popcorn is $4 – $6. Arrange to be picked up from LOGAN Center at 7:30 p.m.

Pre-registration required; limited to 15 persons per date

*Participants may attend only once per month.


Mini Golf @ Mega Play

Tuesdays –  September 5, 12, 19, 26;
Time: 4:30-5:45 p.m.
Cost: $12/date

Meet at Mega Play at 4:30 p.m. A ride will be provided from LOGAN Industries at 4 p.m. We will play a round of mini golf, enjoy a beverage, and if time allows, play a game or two. The cost covers mini golf, beverage and supervision. Please arrange to be picked up at Mega Play at 5:45 p.m.

Registration is required; limited to 12 persons

LOGAN Recreation Dance

Saturday, September 16
Time: 6 – 9 p.m.
Cost: $3/ticket

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and dancing/music will begin at 6:30 p.m. Rides are not provided to or from the dances. Recreation rules are to be followed at dances. Do not bring outside music to the dance; a DJ will provide the music. You must have an annual participation form on file. Arrange to be picked up at 9 p.m.


A beverage and snack will be provided for all dance participants.

Additional drinks will be available for 50 cents each.

LOGAN ACT Play Practices
The Wizard of Oz

Mondays – July 10, 17 at LOGAN Center; July 24, 31 at Battell Center; August 7, 14 at Battell Center
Tuesdays – July 11, 18 at LOGAN Center; July 25 at Battell Center; August 8, 15 at Battell Center
Thursdays – August 10, 17 at Battell Center
Time: 4:30-5 p.m. on Mondays; 4:30-6 p.m. on Tuesdays; 4:30-6 p.m. on Thursdays

We will meet at 4:30 p.m. for play practice according to the schedule above. Kelli McBride from the South Bend Civic Theater will direct us in a performance of The Wizard of Oz. We will continue to work together to learn our lines, stage placement, acting skills, timing and eventually perform live on stage. Participants should be able to attend most practices. Please pay attention to where practices are taking place, as we will be moving to the Battell Center in mid-July. For those of you at LOGAN Industries, a ride can be provided from LI at 4 p.m. for each class. Arrange to be picked up at the above times from the designated location..


Sunday Bowling & Lunch

Dates: Sundays August 20, September 17
Time: 1:30 – 5:30 p.m. 

Meet at LOGAN Center at 1:30 p.m. We will go to a late lunch before going to an area bowling alley for an afternoon of bowling. Cost will include your lunch, bowling, shoe rental if needed, transportation, and supervision. Please bring extra money with you for beverages at the bowling alley. You may bring your own shoes and bowling ball if you have them, but they are not required. Arrange to be picked up at LOGAN Center at 5:30 p.m.
