New series of autism Social Skills groups starts in January

Three new, age-specific, social skills groups begin in January at the LOGAN Autism Learning Center – Southwest Michigan. The groups will meet one day a week for a total of six weeks at the center, 1651 E. Nickerson Avenue, Benton Harbor The cost is $10 per session or $55 for the six-week series. Two separate groups for adolescents Two of the groups will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning January 16. Emily’s snowman becomes LOGAN holiday greeting

Emily Holub, 27,  didn’t know she was an artist until she started painting about two years ago. During a work break at LOGAN Industries, she picked up a paintbrush in one of the Studios classrooms. Following the direction of Studios art instructor Ann Rudasiacs, Emily caught on quickly and discovered a talent she didn’t know she had. She’s been painting ever since. “Ann offers ideas.
