AUTISM SPECIALIST – The Regional Autism Center is hiring for a Autism Specialist. The Autism Specialist will be responsible for providing counseling and support services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ADS) and their families. In addition, the Specialist will develop and coordinate programs which will provide opportunities for youth and young adults with autism or similar conditions to improve their social understanding. The Specialist will develop options for youth and young adults to learn skills which will increase their competence in the areas of social skill development, self awareness and self esteem enhancement. A Master’s Degree in Social Work with knowledge of how Autism Spectrum Disorders affect individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders is required. Candidates must possess excellent ability to communicate with families and other professionals. This is a full-time position; the hours may vary, including evenings and weekends.
