Physical Therapist

A First Steps Physical Therapist provides evaluations/therapy in a variety of settings, assissing the gross area of development. The Physical Therapist will provide treatment plans and outcomes reflected in each client's Individual Family Service Plan, using therapeutic modalities and procedures to maintain/increase skills. The Physical Therapist also communicates with staff and families regarding results of the evaluation, treatment and progress, provides parent training and makes suggestions for home programming. One year experience working with the pediatric population is preferred but not necessary. Currently registered as a Physical Therapist with the State of Indiana. (enrollment in Indiana's First Step system is preferred )

Also communicates with staff and families regarding results of the evaluation, treatment and progress, provides parent training and makes suggestions for home programming. One year experience working with the pediatric population is preferred, but not necessary. Registered Occupational Therapist with the State of Indiana is required.
Speech and Language Pathologist

Speech & Language Pathologist / Building Blocks - full time or 2 part time. The Speech and Language Pathologist provides evaluation of expressive and receptive language abilities, cognitive skills and oral motor functioning, in a variety of settings. The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide treatment plans and outcomes as reflected in each child’s Individual Family Service Plan, using therapeutic modalities and procedures to maintain/increase skills. The Speech-Language Pathologist will also consult with other professional staff and families regarding result of evaluations, treatment and progress and make suggestions for a classroom or home programming. One-year experience working with the pediatric population is preferred, but not necessary. Registered Speech & Language pathologist with the state of Indiana is required.

PROGRAM ASSISTANT - The Residential Services Department has immediate openings for Program Assistants in both Group Living and Supported Living. The Program Assistant has a tremendous responsibility as the success of an individual’s growth toward independence ultimately lies in the ability of the Program Assistant to promote a supportive living environment. As a member of each individual’s Support Team, the Program Assistant functions through a systematic process designed to meet the needs of individuals served in a wide variety of daily living areas. Responsibilities also include assisting individuals in accessing community resources and accompanying them to appointments and activities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and experience working with persons with special needs is preferred. Evening, overnight and weekend hours are needed. Training Supervisor

TRAINING SUPERVISOR- LOGAN Industries has an immediate opening for a full-time Training Supervisor. The Training Supervisor is responsible for training and supervision of LOGAN Industries’ clients, including on-going assessment, data collection, on-the-job training, developmental training and behavioral intervention. As a member of each client’s IDT, the Training Supervisor is responsible for helping develop written vocational goals and objectives and for representing progress at staffings and written monthly and/or quarterly responses on each client’s Individual Plan of Service. A High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in education or human services related field preferred. A minimum of two years direct experience in programs for persons with developmental disabilities is required. The hours are 7:30am- 4:00pm., Monday- Friday.
Administrative Assistant

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – LOGAN Center is hiring for a full-time Administrative Assistant for the Regional Autism Center. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for all aspects of department organization, clerical and accounting functions for the Regional Autism Center. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Office experience requiring organizational abilities, strong computer skills, insurance billing and experience in accounting functions is preferred. The hours are 8 a.m. - 5p.m.
Program Assistant

PROGRAM ASSISTANT- LOGAN Center’s Community Connections program is hiring for a Program Assistant. The Program Assistant will actively participate as a member of a team to support individuals with developmental disabilities in the community at volunteer sites that make their day meaningful. Some responsibilities of this position are to provide a positive environment for individuals volunteering in the community five days a week that allows learning and encourages individuals to be as independent as possible when volunteering. One year working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. General operation of a (6) passenger van, (12) passenger van and a (5) seated (2) person wheelchair van. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. This is a full-time position; 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This is a full-time position; 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The Habilitation Instructor will actively provide one-on-one to support individuals with development disabilities who reside in nursing homes to access the community making their day more meaningful. Some responsibilities of this position are to provide a positive environment for individuals in the community, providing motivation, and encouraging participation of individuals served. Computer knowledge a plus and one year working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Reliable transportation necessary and general operation of a (5) seated (2) person wheelchair van is helpful but will train right candidate. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. This is a full-time position; 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch or as assigned by supervisor)

PROGRAM COORDINATOR (Supported Living) - LOGAN Industries is currently hiring for a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator is responsible for implementation of Habilitation, Personal Assistance and Respite Services. Coordinates and ensures financial management of individual’s household and personal expenses, medical appointments and medications administration, household maintenance, social activities, and safety assurance. Responsible for the direct supervision and scheduling of Program Assistants assigned. A high school diploma/equivalent and a minimum of one year supervisory or management experience required. In addition to, two years experience in working with persons with special needs. This is a full-time position with varied hours (days, nights and weekends).
Family Support Specialist

FAMILY SUPPORT SPECIALIST – The Regional Autism Center is hiring for a Family Support Specialist. The Family Support Specialist will be responsible for providing counseling and support services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ADS) and their families. In addition, the Specialist will develop and coordinate programs which will provide opportunities for youth and young adults with autism or similar conditions to improve their social understanding. The Specialist will develop options for youth and young adults to learn skills which will increase their competence in the areas of social skill development, self awareness and self esteem enhancement. A Master’s Degree in Social Work with knowledge of how Autism Spectrum Disorders affect individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders is required. Candidates must possess excellent ability to communicate with families and other professionals. This is a full-time position; the hours may vary, including evenings and weekends.
Development Specialist

DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST The Autism Program is currently hiring for a Development Specialist. The Development Specialist is responsible for developing and coordinating programs which will provide opportunities for youth and young adults with autism or similar conditions to enhance their quality of life. Other duties consist of developing options for youth and young adults to learn skills which will increase their competence in the areas of social skill development, self awareness and self esteem enhancement and choosing healthy lifestyles. This position will directly report to the Director of the Regional Autism Center. A Bachelors Degree in a field related to teaching, special needs or recreation is required. Strong knowledge of and experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders & other development disabilities is required. Candidates must possess excellent ability to communicate with families and other professionals. Extensive experience developing and managing programs for specials needs population is required. This is a full-time position; the hours may vary.
