15 ways to support LOGAN Autism Services in April

The blue spotlight is shining on LOGAN Autism Services during Autism Awareness Month. From give backs at local restaurants to  a walk and a bowling event, we’ve packed the calendar with fun ways to support LOGAN Autism Services. Here are 15 ways you can get involved:

 

1. Coloring contest

United Federal Credit Union
Get a coloring sheet at UFCU to participate in “You Color, U Donate” and enter to win a $500 deposit into a Youth Savings Account. For each completed and returned color sheet, UFCU will donate $1 to the LOGAN Autism Learning Center – Southwest Michigan.

2. Outreach program

Behavior Strategies
6 p.m. April 23
LOGAN Center, 2505 E. Jefferson Blvd.

Learn how to use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in the home and in public settings. Britany Melton, MEd, BCBA, Clinical Director- Indiana, for LOGAN Autism Services, will review basic behavioral strategies for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related disorders. This is intended to be an informational presentation and not child-specific. General evidence-based behavior management strategies and supports will be discussed. The program is free and open to parents, caregivers, educators and anyone interested in learning more about ABA therapies and behavioral strategies.

3. Light it up Blue 1-Mile Walk for Autism

3 to 6 p.m. Saturday April 28
149 Le Mans Hall, Saint Mary’s College
Join the Saint Mary’s College Students Supportng Autism Club in a scenic 1-mile walk around campus. The cost of registration includes a shirt, blue glow stick and bracelet. Click here for more information and to register.

4. Bowling for Autism

Community Give Back Events

5. Round Barn Winery, Distillery & Brewery
April 2 to April 30
Round Barn Winery, 10983 Hills Road, Baroda, Michigan
Public House, 9151 1st Street, Baroda, Michigan
With every purchase of Round Barn Farm Market Blueberry Wine, Tabor Hill Traminette, Free Run Cellars Moscato or Round Barn Brewery Helles Ale, $1 will be donated to the LOGAN Autism Learning Center – Southwest Michigan

6. Bit Of Swiss
April 1-30
All month long, 100 percent of sales of lemon raspberry cupcakes will be donated to the LOGAN Autism Learning Center – Southwest Michigan.

 

7.  Wine Bus Tour and “Fun-raiser”
Saturday April 14, noon to 5 p.m.
Give a little. Help a lot! The Cornerstone Chamber Young Professionals invite any member of the Chamber to attend this event to benefit the LOGAN Autism Learning Center – Southwest Michigan. Seating is limited to the first 26 people who register.

A portion of sales from the entire day (both dine-in and carry-out) will be donated to the LOGAN Autism Learning Center – Southwest Michigan


9.  Five Below

A percentage of sales will be donated to the LOGAN Autism Learning Center – Southwest Michigan.

Present a LOGAN voucher when you order and a percentage of your bill will be donated to LOGAN Autism Services.

11.  Chili’s
11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Thursday April 19

Mention LOGAN when you order, and 15 percent of your bill will be donated back to LOGAN Autism Learning Center – Southwest Michigan.

12.  Silver Harbor Brewing
4 to 10 p.m. Thursday April 26

Come out and drink for a cause. For every pint purchased, Silver Harbor Brewing will donate $1 to LOGAN Autism Learning Center – Southwest Michigan.

A portion of your bill will be donated to the LOGAN Autism Learning Center – Southwest Michigan.

Present a voucher to your server and 10 percent of your bill will be donated to LOGAN Autism Services.
