The year 2000 was the inaugural year for the Leighton Award. This award is intended to annually recognize an exemplary nonprofit organization. LOGAN, the first ever recipient of this award, received a $100,000 challenge grant. Being selected as the first recipient of this award was truly an honor, especially for the Year 2000, LOGAN's 50th anniversary year.
