Best Buddies

Best Buddies is an international organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with mental retardation by providing opportunities for socialization. The local chapter at Notre Dame matches Saint Mary's College, Holy Cross College, and University of Notre Dame students with LOGAN clients. Buddies and College Buddies get together twice per month for one-to-one outings and keep in touch through the week. Visit the national Best Buddies website.

Brittany Maier Recital

Best Buddies, LOGAN, and Notre Dame will present a piano recital by Brittany Maier, "A World of My Own," Wednesday, February 20 at 6pm in the Annenberg Theater of the Snite Museum, Notre Dame campus. Brittany was born in April, 1989, four months premature. She weighed only one pound, five ounces. Even though she was diagnosed as blind, autistic, and mentally disabled, Brittany began playing Schubert's Ave Maria on a toy piano at age 6, and her amazing musical talent began to surface.
