Meet: the Kids
Have you ever wondered what it is like to have a disability? In Meet the Kids, kids tell you about themselves and what it is like to have a disability. You'll find that it is not very different. They do a lot of the same things you do. They like a lot of the same things you like. Take a minute now and meet some of Cocoa Logan's kids.

Meet: Eric
Hi! I'd like you to meet Eric. Eric was born with Down Syndrome. Eric's just like any other kid. In the morning before he goes to school, he likes to wake up his older brother, Jerry. Eric quietly knocks on Jerry's door. Then, he walks up to Jerry while he's sleeping and nudges him just a little until he wakes up. Eric always makes time in the morning to watch his favorite show: Barney. After breakfast, Eric and Jerry head off to school. When Eric gets home, he may ask for his favorite food for dinner: pizza or hot dogs. Then, he and his brother may get into one of their wrestling matches - but don't worry - it's all for fun! Eric has lots of things he likes to do in his spare time. Eric likes to swing and play basketball. He likes to ride the four-wheeler with his brother, Jerry. Eric also likes to play baseball. Eric is on a special team called the Challengers (link the challengers to more info). When his dad gets home, Eric loves to be swung around like an airplane high in the air! At the end of busy day, Eric goes to bed ready to start having fun again tomorrow. If you'd like to meet Jerry, click here.

Meet: Matt
Hi! I'd like you to meet Matt. Matt is 17 years old and an older brother to a brother and sister. He was born with cerebral palsy and is visually impaired. Matt uses a wheelchair to get around and relies on family or friends for the motoring. He is nonverbal, but has a few words that he uses to his advantage, like hug and tickle, tickle. Matt's family helps him with his daily needs, such as feeding and dressing. There is one thing that everyone agrees on and that is that Matt's smile can make anyone smile! He is a happy guy that enjoys his life. He loves interacting with others. Matt is at the local high school and has friends there that always say hello to him. A simple "hi" can make Matt happy. Matt likes to travel to his Grandparents and cousins. The younger cousins like to ride with Matt in his wheelchair and Matt loves this. He has a great time when he visits. Meet Matt's sister, Hannah.
